Yeah that sounds slightly better, though I hope the whole problem has a more graceful solution than just putting a delay on dependent functions.

Thanks for that workaround (though your link doesn't seem to work for me).

I wanted to solve two problems: the 200ms might still not be enough depending of the plugin, and I wanted to avoid to force visitors to wait 200ms if the function is already available

Instead of putting the setTimeout in the callback, I put it on a separate function that contains the init code for the plugin

Hey Mate,
Loving the new look! I've been trying to get something like this off the ground for a while, only got as far as a couple of base templates, before deadlines started looming.

Loving the typography and also the attention to detail.
Bravo mate. henrytapia.com = WIN

Cheers Laura!

The 2 columns composition works very well on the homepage.

That's specific to that particular blog post, the idea being each post can have its own layout, by having per-post CSS in a custom field.

Oh and you’ll have to reveal how you did your Twitter insert...

I used a jQuery plugin called Tweet! along with a bit of custom jQuery and CSS for the fadey navigation.

And of course, thank you so much for the linkage.

You're ever so welcome.

Henry a new era for your web presence, I love your style; always have. :) Fantastic typography choices too. The 2 columns composition works very well on the homepage. Oh and you'll have to reveal how you did your Twitter insert - I like how that's working. I could do with that on my foodie blog.

And of course, thank you so much for the linkage. I am flattered to have made it into your mega footer of goodness. :D
